Lalia Hays is a dancer, actor, and filmmaker based in NYC.
She originally trained in pre-professional ballet (Joffrey Ballet NYC, Nutmeg Conservatory), before transitioning to focus on film and commercial dance. She has trained with acting coaches Bob Krakower, Welker White, and Vance Barber.
She recently directed her first film How Are We Feeling Today? which had it’s World Premiere at Soho International Film Festival. She wrote HAWFT based off her experience with eating disorder recovery, starred in it, and produced it with Amanda Quaid & Wiley Water Productions.
She has been in indie films that have played at festivals including Bushwick Film Festival, Montclair Film Festival, and Buffalo International Film Festival. She’s recently performed at The Actor’s Temple NYC and 3 Dollar Bill.
Lalia is a proud queer artist and is passionate about telling queer stories, and working with other creatives to increase representation on screen and behind the camera.
